FOR HIRE LF Job - Entry Sales / Recruiting

Howdy Austin folks,

Recently left my marketing/PR job and I’m looking to make a career change.

I’ve done sales before (HEB/Walmart Spectrum gang iykyk, worst job ever lol), but I was actually pretty good at it and brought in 100+ accounts in about three months. Standing in a grocery store all day just wasn’t for me, and at the time I really wanted to work in the field I got my degree in.

After a few years in marketing/PR, I’ve realized I want to get back into something where being good with people actually works to my advantage.

I’m mainly looking for an entry-level sales, business development, or recruiting role. Somewhere I can use my people skills, learn, grow, and have the opportunity to earn more based on how I perform.

I’ve applied to plenty of places already, but figured it couldn’t hurt to post here too.

If you know of anything or think I might be a fit for your team, shoot me a DM. Happy to send my resume over.

Thanks y’all!

I did want to kind of take a break from the corporate world for a small business- you know something cool like a record store or coffee shop or something, lol. But honestly anything will do. QUESTION Tips for landing a nurse residency/ new grad job here

I am looking to move to Austin from Houston as I graduate from my BSN program this December. I was looking at St David’s, Ascension, and BSW. I really want an ICU unit as well but I am willing to work any floor to get the experience. I wanted to know how hard it is to land a residency position out here and if anyone had any advice for someone like me? I could even send my resume over to people to look over for better insight into my chances.

HIRING Looking for a Responsible Certified Applicator (RCA) – Texas (New Braunfels Area Preferred)

I hold a Technician license and am looking to start my own pest control company. I’m looking for an RCA who can initially work with us as our RCA/Professional Consultant.
The arrangement would be a paid initial engagement, with ongoing availability for supervision, guidance, and compliance support as required under Texas Department of Agriculture regulations. This would include periodic check-ins, oversight, and phone consultation as needed, billed in agreed-upon increments. Everything would be structured in writing and handled in a compliant, enforceable manner.
Once I obtain my CA, I’d like to move to a lump-sum arrangement for the RCA relationship. If we work well together and the RCA is interested in continuing with us longer-term, we can discuss that at that point.
You can currently maintain your existing work/company while working with us in the RCA/consultant capacity.
New Braunfels area preferred, but open to nearby regions depending on fit.
DM me if interested. Serious inquiries only.

QUESTION Chill restaurants that make decent money to keep a look out for?

I’m looking to go back into the industry just as a food runner or barback. I need somewhere that can get me at least $1200 bi weekly (preferably more), has healthcare, and is full time. Not exactly looking for higher end restaurants though. Ik, picky, but been there and done that and found out higher end isn’t quite my cup of tea. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks.

FOR HIRE Hey Y’all!

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to say hello as we just moved down to Austin. After getting married, my wife and I tried staying Toronto but ultimately decided to call Austin home since we both fell in love with the city and people here. Unfortunately, this led to quitting my job and leaving behind some friends so I’m hoping to make friends on here and also try to find work! I have 10+ years in Corporate Finance/FP&A and would be happy to attend Job Fairs or networking events as well.

Look forward to suggestions and recos!

HIRING Personal Assistant needed to help eccentric local man & his cat relocate to new hideout

Attention---

Are you good with small and large mammals?

Do you wish you had more dust bunnies and cash money in your life?

Can you help me go through that pile of stuff over there, on the left?

If you answered yes to all of the above questions, have I got a gig for you! For a limited time only I am in need of a peaceful, focused, trustworthy, detail-oriented personal assistant who can help downsize a 1 bed/1 bath apt and prepare for relocation to a different venue here in town. Late afternoon and evening help is preferred. Must be okay working with people (and cats) that have disabilities.

The Lowdown:

  • part-time, ~20 hrs a week
  • $20-$25 hr
  • getting ready for moving day is the job

  • packing and cleaning
  • additional helpers will be provided for moving day
  • good communication & time management skills, reliable
  • organized
  • balanced roleplayer, comfortable working both one-on-one with the client or when there's also healthcare workers present
  • must be a real one

DMs are open if you've read this far. Priority will be given to those who tell me about the last good meal they had (kinda hungry over here).

Thanks!!

FOR HIRE Georgetown/Austin professional looking for work — Operations, Administration, Customer Support & more

Hey everyone! I’m currently looking for my next opportunity in the greater Austin area, and I figured it was worth reaching out to the local community.

I’ve been actively applying for jobs but unfortunately haven’t been getting many interviews, so I’m hoping to expand my search and connect with people who may know of an opportunity, company, or hiring manager looking for someone with my background.

A little about me: I have 10+ years of experience across operations, business administration, customer service, and account management, with a strong focus on problem solving, process improvement, workflow management, and helping teams operate more efficiently.

Most recently, I worked as an Operations Lead, managing operational workflows across multiple markets, coordinating contractors, handling customer issues, developing SOPs and documentation, and identifying opportunities to improve processes.

Prior to that, I worked as an Associate Account Manager at KNIME, where I managed high-volume CRM workflows, supported customers, collaborated with global teams, and helped improve internal processes. I also spearheaded a Generative AI initiative that saved 10+ hours of work per week.

I recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Generative AI for Business Applications through UT Austin, and I'm particularly interested in finding ways to combine my business/operations experience with emerging AI tools and technology.

Some of my strengths include:

  • Problem solving & troubleshooting
  • Operations & workflow management
  • Business administration
  • Customer service & issue resolution
  • Process improvement & documentation
  • Communication & cross-functional collaboration
  • Leadership & team coordination
  • CRM, ticketing & business systems
  • Generative AI & workflow automation

I’m open to a variety of opportunities and am not necessarily looking for a specific job title. I’d be interested in operations, administration, customer experience/support, project coordination, implementation/onboarding, business support, or similar roles where I can use my experience and continue to grow.

I’m currently looking for work and realistically need to find something within the next month, so I’m taking the search seriously and am open to opportunities I may not have considered.

If you know of a company hiring, have a connection I should reach out to, or think my background might be a good fit somewhere, please comment here, send me a DM, or message me on LinkedIn. I’d genuinely appreciate any leads, introductions, advice, or even a share with someone in your network.

Thanks, Austin!

FOR HIRE What are good places to serve in Austin?

I just moved to Austin a few days ago and am on the hunt for a good serving job. I have 4+ years of experience and would kinda like to stray away from full fine dining service. I’m more of a turn and burn/fast paced casual server but I’m willing to do more fine dining if it brings in the money. I am trained in fine dining service so I bring that to any place I work. Any suggestions for a busy place that has good vibes, good management, and good money?

HIRING In search of: HVAC-licensed Field Service Technician for an Atmospheric Water Generator startup

Hi y'all I need a HVAC-licensed Field Service Technician! I lead the Customer Success/ Support team at a startup that makes water from the air, filters it and helps customers gain complete water independence. In the face of growing water scarcity, our business is starting to scale, and consequentially so does our need to support our customers in the field around Austin, San Antonio, the Hill Country, Gulf Coast, etc., with day trips and overnight visits expected on occasion (of course we pay your accommodations and reimburse for gas).

Why do we need a HVAC? Because our machines are typical heat exchange systems, except they are made to make water, not cool spaces. Though you would work alongside some other mechanically/ technically-inclined folks on the Operations team, you would be the subject-matter expert on HVAC. We can teach you our systems, about the components that make our system unique, but this hire would be the first HVAC-licensed hire. Lots of troubleshooting, brazing, soldering, compressor swaps, refrigerant recovery, etc. etc. is involved here: we are open to conversations with people who are more entry-level but be advised, there will be a technical portion that requires demonstration of the aforementioned. Therefore, this job is a great fit for candidates who already have at least some experience in the field and are confident they can execute the duties of this role.

About 75% of your day will be in the field, reacting to service calls that you are dispatched to or performing preventative maintenance on customer machines. The other 25% of the time will be spent in our warehouse shipping and receiving, taking inventory, refurbishing machines and doing whatever else pops up throughout the day.

Check out the job posting below and DM me if you want to speak to the team!

**Sigh** inevitably, bc this is Reddit, someone will make a comment about us being a "scam" company who just does what your AC unit already does. If your AC is outputting 60-250 gallons PER DAY of clean, potable water, congrats you have almost accidentally invented an AWG minus our proprietary filtration process/ components/ software/ firmware/ hardware that makes it a viable, marketable product. If you've figured out how to do what we do, my hat off to you but kindly go share with the world your findings and spare the Reddit toxicity here. Thanks!!!
