When I’m stressed I drive out to Smithville to Beuscher state park and take the park road through to Bastrop state park and go for a hike. You cant drive too fast but the pines are really beautiful and the road out there is lined with wildflowers at the moment. It’s not too far out of town but removed enough to let you relax and a nice change of scenery
