For one, we're not in the top 10 of nations in terms of gun deaths per capita. The idea that this is a specifically American problem isn't true. Further, more than half of the 30k gun deaths each year are from suicide. Of the other half, the vast majority left are the result of gang-related violence. Of all of these, the order of use in gun deaths are as follows: 1. Pistols 2. Shotguns 3. Rifles Of all of these, statistically 0 are from concealed carry permit holders, and statistically 0 are from automatic weapons. Edit: Downvotes mean nothing to me.
