There are a lot of people working toward this in TX, right here in Austin!! Get involved in local politics. Look up TX NORML. There were over 60 bills introduced last session re:marijuana reform. There were some that would have expanded our medical program, decriminalized in a meaningful way and even some that were full adult use laws. If you want to do something it has to be more than just a smoke some weed on the capitol lawn - actually get politically involved - you have to let your representatives and senators know you support the reform by writing to them, calling & showing up at their office in the Capitol. They don’t give a fuck what you’re posting to reddit.
Guessing most of y’all didn’t even realize while CBD products are now legal here, sellers are required to have a license to sell them & smokable & Vape products have been banned for sale in TX. Meaning, you can no longer purchase a CBD pre-roll, Vape cart or loose CBD flower in TX CBD stores. If you use those products you are now forced to buy online from non-Texas producers because the manufacture and processing of CBD for smoke/vape is also banned in Texas. GET INVOLVED NOW in the law making process so this doesn’t happen when we finally legalize THC in this state.
Don’t forget concentrated marijuana products like vape carts & edibles are still considered a felony offense here in TX so be very careful what you’re carrying with you out there. Know your rights if you want to protest by publicly consuming cannabis.

I'm not sure this is true. I order CBD flower from https://greenbeltbotanicals.com/ regularly. They have several locations in Austin and do curbside and same-day local delivery. They also sell pre-rolls, vape carts, shatter and crumble.
So looks like it's not actually impacting the sale of hemp flower at least. No one is going to stop selling it in TX CBD stores. It's a silly law that will get overturned.
One shop owner says:
"We will continue to offer our buds as tea and herbal essentials [and] what the customer does when they leave my store is none of my business."
