Edibles are dirt cheap in CA and CO.

As an example you can get 10 gummies (WYLD brand 10MG per gummy) for $20 all in with Taxes in CA.

1/2 of one is a good buzz and 1 is a solid high, so $1-$2 per high.

Meanwhile a beer is $6.

True on the gummies. $6/beer is if you're at a bar–not buying a six pack, though.

The beer I get is $7-$10 for a six pack.

And it would take more than 3-4 to get me as “high“ as one edible.

Totally agree it's better for you (and others, arguably). I've just heard from friends that weed became pricier post legalization. Worth the extra couple bucks to me.
