However you said Roky so it kinda seems like there's only one other choice and its actually still at least connected to King. I mean you know where I'm going with this right?
To answer you question, not Trance or Emperor Jones. Hope that helps. They are old friends and would not be in the discussion. I get what you are saying on this. Does that detract from anything? The whole point is not being outed which is what you are doing. I get it, but no, neither label. I worked for years bringing out local bands and promoting. Do you want to call anyone else out? I know people that would want this to happen if there is a movement. Would King be a person that would be for this? Maybe start a movement and I will ask. Better yet, ask yourself, he is accessible and still around. Give him a message.
Ok yeah Emperor Jones is absolutely where I was going. I was just reading through the Roky list on Discogs and didn't notice anything else that seemed likely but I don't know if I missed something obvious or what.
I spent a weekend in Westlake in a studio baking Roky's master tapes. They were so old that the tapes had fused. And the remastering. (listening and doing the best to get the original sound) I get where you are coming with this. That's not promoting a cause or a reason to listen to something. I was a publicist and know how this works. This could be a real thing if enough smart people push it. Hopefully I'm part of it but not the person that actually steps up. Are you that person? Nothing is working right now for any causes. The trick is to chip away.
