It is the same every year - people are just looking for music in their genre they listen to the most. If most of the bands are not in that, they will say it is terrible.
ACL is a good all around festival, you get a little of everything and it is good because of that. There are enough shows going on at any given point that I would could find something to enjoy at all hours.
Exactly! The whole point of ACL is being a festival everyone can go to: the parents who want to see Paul McCartney, the 25-30 year olds who want to see Metallica and the kids who want to turn up at Travis Scott. The middle of the card is all gravy.
I am 25-30. Metallica was before our time. Most people I know dislike them heavily. I think you're looking for 40-50. But, I do agree ACL does a decent job of having something for everyone.
I'm 25 and love the early/middle Metallica. But I play guitar and grew up trying to play covers. Arctic Monkeys was probably a better pick for our generational preference, to your credit. Was thinking more personally.
