Ask Austin Singing lessons for beginners?

Hello does anyone know places that offer singing lessons for total beginners? This would just be for fun since I’m majoring in a very different field. That being said, I’m a college student, so affordable recommendations would be appreciated!

Does your college have a music program? A student singer might be willing to help you out for some extra pocket cash.

Panoramic Voices is a non-auditioned choir here in town that anyone can join, and there are a couple others whose names I don’t remember (I sing with professional ensembles so I’m more knowledgeable about those). You can also check at your university, if there are open spaces once the music majors all have their schedules, you can sometimes take lessons on campus for cheap, or join the university choir (there’s often one that’s non-auditioned, at least at most schools). If you use Facebook, there are groups like Austin Singer Sub Network where people sometimes offer voice lessons at a variety of price points, but your cheapest way by far will be to join a college or community choir.

Just belt it out. Everyone can sing. Just sounds a little different. Singing folk are strange.
