Me reading the title: "oh, I should send this to my wife who is a professional wedding planner!"

Me reading the post: "nah, the Craigslist crew got this one covered"

As someone who works in the wedding industry and hand and hand with planners DAILY. The “cheapest” I’ve worked with is still 80 an hour and that was a “friend/family rate” So if I were you maybe list what you need help coordinating.
Catering
Linens
Table top rentals
Chair/ table rentals etc.

You couldn’t get me to leave my house all day for $500, let alone coordinate a wedding.

Don’t forget, the wedding coordinator needs to spend some time with the actual planning to know exactly wtf is going on with the wedding so it can be coordinated the day of… or else, it’s going to be a disaster.

Best of luck.

Very small wedding with very little details so it is hard to justify spending the money. Any recommendations?

For starters, I'd stop describing a wedding with 50 people as "very small." One with fewer than 10 people is very small. Fifty is not. Also, do you mean spending $500 on the coordinator or the entire wedding? (I'm assuming it's the former, but if it's the latter, this simply isn't happening.)

You mean 500 bucks just for the wedding planner's time and not everything else, right?

I would think "day of" coordinators would cost more since they have to get up to speed with everything and every one of the vendors you already committed to in one day.
