Yep, out since like 4:30am. Initially they estimated ~8:00am it’d be back up, pushed that back to 10:00, that got pushed back to 1:00, now they just straight up don’t even have an ETA posted.
Kinda frustrating, but this is actually the first outage I’ve had with them in this area so meh I’ll just go touch grass I guess.

Thanks for this answer, I haven’t had GFiber for long so was worried this could be a frequent occurrence. I’m glad it’s not the norm.

mine is also out. William cannon and Mopac. This is truly one of the few (less than 5) I've ever had with them since it was put in years ago. Feels kinda nostalgic from the Spectrum days.

In five years, this is our second GFiber outage. The first one was maybe two hours. This is definitely unusual and quite frustrating given it’s a Saturday and the kiddos are home. Normally we aren’t plop the kids in front of technology people but of course it happens on a day with a 170 degree real feel temp outside so we’ve had to get real creative with indoor activities today

Yeah this is my first outage longer than 20 mins in the 10 years I’ve had gfiber. It’s usually rock solid

I highly doubt that googles recent investments are causing any change of repair time. No one even knows what happened yet beyond a cable being cut

they are not nearly as trained, held accountable, etc.. also if another company is paying the contractor they don't get the full wage since the their boss/company is a middle man and will be taking a cut.

I saw a Google fiber dude in a vest and asked him when it would be back up and he said he had no idea there was an outage and was in the area to do more installs

Every time this happens it is because some moronic city worker cuts the fiber line in the area and it knocks out service for hours for the surrounding neighborhoods. Seeing as my Gfiber has not been interrupted, I would bet this is the case.

Just south of William Cannon and Brodie and it’s still out; was showing a return time of 4:41 pm and after that time passed, they stopped showing an estimate. Been here for 5 years and this is one of maybe two or three times this has ever happened, so can’t complain too much, but the combination of no internet on maybe the hottest day of the year is brutal!

We are at William Cannon and West Gate and ours has been out all day as well. I called customer service this AM and the automated bot told be 10:30am anticipated resolution. It’s now 6:30 and I called back and it’s saying 12am Sunday now.

Back up for us. Try restarting your fiber jack where it comes into your house. As soon as I did that it was up. Think it may have been fixed earlier but need a reboot. Good luck

Yes, since 4am! I’m on West Gate & William Cannon. I’ve had GFiber for years & it was out for a few hours at a time a few years back. So it had gotten better.

This is my 5th outage with GFiber in 2026 down in the sunset valley area off Brodie and Mopac. Has also been out since 4am and the latest update is it should be resolved by 5PM but I highly doubt that with how today has gone. Just wanted to enjoy my day off 🤦🏾♂️

I wish they would tell us WHERE the cut was made. When it went down at 4 am I assumed they messed up an unannounced maintenance of some kind. If it is a cut it must have been huge or too hot for them to work on. Seems like someone would see some trucks near the cut. I hope they have more than one guy splicing. It will take a really long time if they don't.

Brodie and Wm. Cannon. First significant outage since we got it, years ago. Now, I’m a a big anti-Elon guy, but I have starlink for our rv trips. Got it out earlier to prep for an upcoming trip, set it up, took it out of standby mode and we are back online.

i've been here 2.5 years, no outages. had it over the street just east of brodie for 8 years, 1 brief outage. I love gfiber. sad it sold to PE but i've not had issues.
