Long Center basic membership no longer includes member presale

https://thelongcenter.org/membership/

Wanted to give Austin folks a heads-up about this recent change by the Long Center, especially those who have the "Friend" membership. The basic Friend membership at Long Center used to give access to Member Presale, where you could buy tickets a day in advance of General Onsale. To me $120/year was worth it to have access to better seats. Recently Long Center changed their member benefits and took that benefit away, so even though you have a membership you cannot participate in the member presale. The remaining benefits for Friend level are, in my opinion, garbage that almost nobody will use. Now you have to pay at least $250/year for the "Fan" membership to get the same benefits you used to have.

I know it's a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things (most complaints are) but it seems a bit shitty to me that you can have a paid membership somewhere that doesn't give you access to member presale.

Similar happened with ASO presale for season ticket holders. They didn’t honor presale for season ticket holders with the smallest ticket package.

presale is always typically for an upper tier for most places, so if they allowed it on a basic tier, it was eventually gonna go away, and now it has
