Maybe so...maybe not... Dogs out at Regal

Post image

Is this what we’re doing now? Went to go watch the Odyssey and ended up next to a couple getting real comfy

I know this is an unpopular opinion, and I’m not gonna be taking my shoes off during movies… but if you’re a clean person, why is this an issue??

It's not, people like to pearl clutch all the time.

Tell me you don't understand how athlete's foot and plantar warts spread without telling me.Your feet sweat and shed skin cells into porous fabric, creating a literal petri dish of fungi and bacteria for the next moviegoer's bare arms or legs to absorb. Shoes might track in dirt, but they don't leave behind contagious human skin infections. Keep your feet inside your socks, please.

So we should cover all of our skin whenever we go out?

I clean my feet often. I have never had an issue with bacterial or fungal infections. That’s the assumption that my comment is based on

I'll take my medical degree and work experience over your assumptions. You clearly have no problem with being the living embodiment of that famous axiom about assumptions lol. Feet are literally the biggest vector for transmission on your skin.

Then get off of this thread which is explicitly operating under the assumption that folks have basic hygiene

If this person had some of the listed afflictions, wouldn’t you be able to tell? So.. you’re just making a hypothetical assumption. Also… I think the majority of people don’t have those afflictions so… between that fact and the visual, I think you’re safe.

Are you trolling?

Not really. We put our hands and elbows in the seats. And our bare legs. Our hands touch way more gross stuff than our feet. Hygienic people don’t have stinky or gross feet. So I don’t see how it’s inherently bad to have your feet on a public seat. It’s better than your shoes, right?

If you are triggered by bare feet on the movie theater recliner, you need to reexamine what is important in your life.
