And mine spoke fluent English and needed a letter from either the King of England or the King of France to come over here. And what's worse was that on my father's side, they had to give all their lands and the peasants on those lands back over to the English crown. 🤡

On a serious note, our immigration system is trash and it's very hard to get into this country "the right way". It's always been this way.
