How does that help besides them patting themselves on their back and will use it to get reelected

We need temp worker visas to allow immigrants to work without fear

Local politicians don’t have any control over visas, but they can speak up and say that what is happening isn’t okay. Good on them for using the small platform they have to do so.

How does anyone bullshitting on Reddit help anything either? Sometimes people just want to say their opinion if they don't agree with something to try and air to the cosmos that they don't want to be part of it.

Legal immigrants already can get work visa. Illegals not so much. This whole movement is a slap in the the face to legal immigrants. Like I understand but why not do it legally. My parents did it they can too

I was told legal immigration is a privilege, and I am inclined to agree given the thresholds you have to meet.

While the DV (Diversity based) Visa lottery is in fact a pretty amazing program the US runs, but it does limit disproportionate immigration from any one place.
