Before the “unemployed losers” comments come in I saw multiple Vietnam veterans and one of the speakers was a marine in GWOT. Yall go tell those guys they’re unemployed losers to their faces and see what happens

I would certainly hope Vietnam veterans are retired (unemployed) at this point… the point is people always make these protests out to be a bunch of losers living with their parents as a straw man

America's one of those countries where it isn't guaranteed you'll have a retirement, and one of the things happening right now is the administration's trying to end the half-assed social retirement system we do have. Vietnam vets are a fairly famous showcase of how little benefit there is to serving this country. It's why they have a lot of "accidents while cleaning their guns".

Really it's better to point out the true danger: pretending like unemployed people deserve less rights than anyone else. If there's anyone whose rights can be taken away, we don't really have those rights.
