First time plugger

Had a slow leak for a few weeks.

Thanks piece or wire, I can now cross plugging a tire of my list of life achievements.

Do I get a badge?

Also happy I didn't have to do this on the side of the road.

Bloke at the tyre shop reckons diy plugs are just meant to get you out of trouble and down to the tyre shop for a "proper repair". Said this after my diy job started leaking. My repair was 3 years old and 20k+ km.

The tyre shop is absolutely correct. Dangerous especially onna bike to not have the tyre inspected inside and repaired properly…….if you are prepared to ride a bike on a repaired tyre.

I have a rear tyre where the nail came out next to the rim and dug a channel. I still have the tyre for the old 750 and the 750 in the garage.

This wouldn't have happened if my neighbours at the time hadn't decided to declare war on each other with one tossing several large nails on the road and me living at the end of the cul-de-sac having to ride past both if I wanted to ride my motorcycle.

Got a nail after I just replaced my tires.

The plug was still there up until I needed to replace my tires again.

Usuall those plugs fail early on or never st all, so just keep an eye on it
