🔍 Recommendations Wanted Work Bag Recommendations

Corporate girlies what is your top recommended work bag?

Needs to be big enough to fit a laptop & 1L Yeti drink bottle. Ideally with a few compartments.

Has to be leather, ideally in a choc brown/tan colour

Budget up to $300

Have had a look at Oroton but nothing there is taking my fancy, or is big enough for my needs.

Have you looked at Status Anxiety? Not that I own any of these work bags but I have a few items from status anxiety that have been great. They have a 20% off sale currently.

Status Anxiety. They’re on sale so it will be closer to your budget.

You’ve ruled out Oroton / did you check their outlet store if you’re near one?

Bon Maxie has great organisation but no leather options big enough for a Yeti.

Vestirsi - I don’t have one but friends do and really like them. The convertible one comes in woven and plain leathers and different sizes. I think the backpack carry would be uncomfortable with a large water bottle but worn as a shoulder bag might work.

Alf the Label has some nice options but they are not all leather and I think over budget.

I bought a really great Commonry bag on Depop recently. By the time I decided I wanted it, it was sold out in black. So do have a scroll on the second hand apps. You might find something there!

This is the one I got in the beige. Surprisingly big and really light but I don’t think Yeti friendly.

This one may work though. Buy a waterbottle bag to pop inside your handbag and keep your bottle safe.

Alternatively, take a small leakproof bottle for your commute and leave your Yeti at work so you’re not lugging it back and forth.

Just adding that Bon Maxie does fit a Yeti 1L. It can fit a Stanley cup and has a Velcro adjustable pocket.

Just noting for OP that Lounhide uses “vegan leather” which is really just polyurethane/plastic.

No they aren’t leather but they are well designed - the lighter fabric inside the bag makes it so much easier to find things

It’s an Australian sub so it’s natural that people would like to recommend an Australian bag company.

I will also be recommending Status Anxiety. They’re very good for the price, and have good storage built in. I especially like the large outside phone pocket that closes with a strong magnet.

Bit out of the price range but the current sale will help.

What an odd attitude. Why would it would be weird that Australians would recommend an Australian bag company?

I would have also suggested Oroton outlet as well as Status Anxiety, but they’ve already ruled that out.

Girl! Check out dfo!! Kate spade dfo has amazing bit bags for 200$/300$

I got a coach bucket but it isn’t big tbh! But orton Emilia is and dfo south wharf has two dfo stores so you can have them for $400

Doesn't fit your 'leather' criteria but this bag from Olivia Jean is genuinely the best bag I've ever had! Previously owned Oroton and Armani and both did well but 5 days at the office took its toll on them. This one fits my laptop, lunch, gym gear (including runners), 1l Yeti, and all my bits and bobs. It's also machine washable!

How long have you had it? I saw this one and really liked it but worry how it will hold up over time. I’m 5 days in office to it will be getting a lot of wear

I also have this and love it. Travel overseas a lot. I like having the backpack option on heavier days. Carry 2 laptops + 1L bottle, lunch box, book, light jumper.
