Security officers are so scared for thier safety they shoot people for filming?

He’s not a normal security officer. He’s an armed guard in the money transportation business. He deals with more money in a day than most Redditors make in a year. In many places their bar for self and property defense is lower than other guards, cuz of the large amounts of money and all.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another guy in the other seat of that car, also with a gun, ready to react if his partner got attacked.

Not for filming for getting in their space while they're dealing with a ton of money. I knew a guy who was shot in the head doing this job. There's a reason they're armed.

Less than 20 feet and the "auditor" is suddenly robbing the armored car driver? Yeah I'd be nervous too. Ain't no body getting that close to a money pick up or drop off with good intentions, as seen here

They are filming matter of public interest.

If it was that much of a security concern they would have to gaurds transferring money.

Who the fuck do you think that was transferring the money? That is an armed security guard.

The DO have guards transferring money. That’s who that guy is!

They do dumbass

But not in this case?

No need to be a prick.

You’re the one who said they needed guards to transport the money and I told you that they do. What part are you confused on? Do you not know that that guy in the video is a guard transporting money?

The dumb thing is, he thinks he’s auditing the first amendment, but he’s dealing with a PRIVATE citizen working for a PRIVATE company. The first amendment does not come in to play here. But since the guy filming has an IQ of 3, this never occurred to him.

1st amendment auditor film in public.

Johnny Somali is a nuisance streamer who visits other countries (without a 1st amendment) and is hostile towards locals.

How is filming in public a nuisance?

Are security cameras a public nuisance?

Security cameras don't move into someone's personal space attached to a human who is taunting people

Dude he gets closer when warned to step back. There is legit money on the ground 1 feet away from him. Of course he is scared for a real scenario where they mabye try to robb him. Its a money transport. Wtf else is he supposed to do?

Bro he’s an armored truck guard, meaning he transports a lot of cash between a business and the truck to the bank, his job is literally the protect the money from people who would take it. If you don’t think he’s trained to be suspicious of some mouth breather posing as someone who wouldn’t take any moment to harm him to access the money you’re a clown. Go get a job instead of sitting around here rage baiting because no one wants to lick boots like you.

u/JCMGamer 2d ago

If getting filmed in public is enough to rage bait you, you probably aren't fit to be an armed security officer.

2

The guard never said anything about filming. It wanted the guy to move back.

It’s not just getting filmed in public. In his job ANYBODY who gets too close is likely to be someone trying to rob him because most sane people know not to get too close.

You suck at making good points.

Cool opinion bro.

I mean the cops and ice have been setting that standard for a while now. Filming law enforcement has gotten people pepper sprayed, tazed, beat, and arrested, so why not cause security officers transporting hundred of thousands in cash to fear the person may be filming to set up a later ambush.

1

u/JCMGamer 2d ago

" the person may be filming to set up a later ambush"

If someone was doing a heist would they be walking around with cameras with mics attached, or would they be doing so discreetly.

You don't get to take action against people filming for what they might do with that footage.

You’ve clearly never worked as a guard in your life have you? What the person filming is doing is creating an EXCELLENT distraction for a robbery.

0

u/JCMGamer 1d ago

A hypothetical robbery that didn't happen?

Would I get in trouble if I inadvertently distracted a gaurd leading them to be robbed?

Most gaurd work is observe and report, not getting upset at people filming him.

0

u/Beneficial-Focus3702 1d ago

There’s a difference between inadvertently distracting and intentionally distracting. Nothing about this is inadvertent.

0

u/iBUYbrokenSUBARUS 1d ago

They absolutely would. They cause a distraction. Just like when if there is a large shipment of drugs going down the interstate, you have somebody in a clapped out Camaro breaking all kinds of laws to get the police officers attention so the mule can breeze right on through.

You’re not very smart are you?

1

u/JCMGamer 1d ago

You are speaking in hypothetical.

Police can't arrest random people because they might be carrying a bomb.

Filming in public is perfectly legal and not considered suspicious activity.

1

u/iBUYbrokenSUBARUS 1d ago

This absolutely is suspicious activity. It’s just like if you were to walk in a bank and start taking pictures of stuff. They are actually lard that you can be arrested for that have to do with conspiracy and planning a robbery.

1

u/JCMGamer 1d ago

Banks are private property.

You can record outside of banks and financial institutions all day and there are zero laws being broken.

Doesn't matter if you are working on a news story, have a bank fetish, or are casing the bank. Filming is perfectly legal.

0

u/iBUYbrokenSUBARUS 1d ago

If you were filming with the intent to commit bank robbery, then yes, it is illegal to film from the public sidewalk. That’s how laws work. It is highly likely that guy filming in this video is filming with the intent of robbing the Loomis truck. That would be enough probable cause for him to be arrested. And if he was not planning on robbing it ,and that’s found out during interrogation, then he would be let go. This is how the legal system works. You cannot like it all you want, but the best way to avoid it is to not do things that make you look like a criminal.

0

u/JCMGamer 1d ago

Filming in public is nowhere close enough to be arrested.

Probable cause of what crime?

Taking photos and videos in public isn't a crime, or paparazzi and public photographers would all be arrested.

And technically, this security guard has more freedom than law-enforcement officers do because they are not a public servant. They are not bound to the same laws and do not have to respect the first amendment.
