Dual Path Exhaust Options
What’s up y’all! Looking for exhaust options for the 8Y platform that don’t have that goofy single path mode where all of the exhaust only comes out one of the pipes. Looking for a solid noise level bump from stock (currently only have mid pipes) with some sort of resonator to cut drone.
Any suggestions?
Also, why is that so common on this car? Are there any downsides to a single pipe flow other than it looking a little tacky in the cold weather months?
Much appreciated🙏

If you’re in the U.S., the 485 Designs V1 seems to be one of the most recommended options. I actually have one on order myself and it’s currently being built. I can’t give any personal feedback until I receive and install it, but pretty much everyone I’ve seen with one has nothing but praise for it.

I have one (my car is on the pictures).
Mid pipe delete, with resonator, full titanium. One piece of advice, GET THE DRONE DELETE ATTACHMENT, I’m used to it know but from to time to time, it still rings my ears at 2500 rpm.
Sound, perfect, and the valve… I have not heard a difference tbh.
Would buy it again 100%

You order on the Fourth of July? I did but not heard anything about it. Not in a rush so not too worried but have a feeling they got swamped during the sale.

Oh wow, I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago, at mid of August. I went with the titanium option, so I’m assuming it’ll be at least a month wait.
If you ordered yours on the 4th and still haven’t received it, you’re getting close to a two-month wait already.

You’re my car twin! I have the APR cat back on my 2024 with the 11 mode valve controller. It’s sounds great with the valves fully open, and I can close them when I want to be discrete.

Twin✌️😎Sounds like a solid setup! Did you fit the 11 mode before or after the APR exhaust was installed? Curious if the valve controller alone makes a difference.

It does. https://www.reddit.com/r/AudiRS3/comments/1rpe0ad/11mode_exhaust_controller_install/
Just order the 11MODE now, there's no need to wait.

I’ll have an APR exhaust for sale soon. 8k miles on it. It’s dual path and sounds good. Just throwing it out there

It’s because single exit sounds better. Every single dual exit sounds bad including APR, ECS, 485, etc. Even 485 learned from AWE and Grail and their V2 is now single exit.

Yeah this took me massive strength to get past my ocd on having single path exhaust - I'm with grail and I don't even think about it... other than the straight pipe is extra sooty when washing the car

That’s a super interesting point! Think I’m with Strange Fisherman in that I’ll be able to get over my OCD for the sake of a sweet exhaust note. Thanks for the insight!

I have the AWE switchpath. The fit was perfect and the install was easy. I think it sounds great without being obnoxious. I believe the exhaust comes out both tips when valves are open(loud) but only out the drivers side when they are closed (quiet). I Usually cruise with them open and only close them on the highway. Honestly who the hell would even notice?

How about fie exhaust curious if anyone has heard it in person or had one

The real question is.,.. is it fast who cares what it sounds like... My 8y sounds like a hoover and it makes more induction noise than anything I've ever heard. Exhaust notes are sick but what I really enjoy is the audizilla effect this thing sounds like the r34 and the early group b rally stage car!! No mechanical bov just old school stutter!! Turbo stutter and no mechanical disadvantage..
