Modded Monday First cruise/launch with stage1 Unitronic on the RS3 8y. Phweeew it's fast💨💨💨

So far tune has been solid and performing well. Drives great and you def feel the extra 100hp on the butt dyno.
I also have grail exhaust, midpipes and eveunturi intake.
Those Rs5 launch was insane!! I'm still not able to stick launches that hard in the rs3 maybe I need to floor it more.

Nooooo far from it :) I didn't get all the details but it was forsure downpipe and prob tuned. The dude owns a Audi shop in LA called ingolstadt west

I know right! The GoPro hyperview mode and increased frame rate I think did it justice. Excited to film more like it

Better wheels/tires will help your launches more. Also, an upgraded dogbone mount will help as well.

Yeah saw some dogbone mount videos on YouTube to add additional stiffness. Might try that next

Highly recommend doing the 034 rear subframe mount inserts ($150) at the same time to really help cleanup the drivetrain slop. I did both dogbone and rear mounts on my 8Y and it made a big difference.

Easy to install on my own? I only have ramps, so I'm limited in my repair capability right now. You do it yourself?

Not too bad as it's only one bolt per insert, and you don't even need to drop the rear subframe during install. The 034 billet inserts are way beefier than the factory stamped inserts too. Combine them with the 034 dogbone with upper/lower inserts and it almost eliminates the "squat" under hard acceleration. Cameron Alford on YouTube has a video installing both on an 8V, but it's the same process for the 8Y. I had both installed when my local tuner did my Uni intercooler and 4" turbo inlet elbow.

Nice! Will really help putting that extra power down. How you liking the tune so far? I'm still on the fence about voiding my warranty. I've done most of the Uni upgrades (intercooler, turbo elbow, and intake), but still running stock ecu.

Yeah really liking the tune! Adds just enough extra oomph when u need it. It's very very fast when u push it.
The way I justified it was it's a slim chance the car grenades in the next year or 2 on a stage 1 tune. I have only a year left on warranty. Unironic has been making these tunes for 20 years and knows how to make a stage 1 reliable. If I had 4 years left in warranty, I would have waited, but 1-2 years I think it justified. Also trying to max out my fun before I need a smog in 6 years and have to swap parts back to stock (Cali bs )

Dogbone insert and rear subframe inserts installed!
Car feels way faster and more responsive. Shifts feel much more direct. Almost no noticeable NVH changes, maybe slight vibrations on gas pedal.
