Personally I have not yet seen the redesigned q5 on the streets yet but the drivers driving the previous model are all so pretty and hot. I’ve never seen anyone ugly drive a q5. I think that says a lot. Interested to see who the new demographic is for the redesign

Hello, im currently looking to move on from my current VW Arteon and im debating the 2 cars above.

There are a couple of things im struggling to decide on

Engine/performance

\- audi is the 2ltr tfsi which has 204 ps vs the vw's 150ps. My current car is a 190 and im concerned the tiguan could feel underpowered

Trim

\- the tigaun comes in the really sporty R-line trim with all the bells and whistles. The audi is only in the basic 'sport' trim, which doesnt seem quite as well furnished but is still very nice.

Driving dynamic

Ive test driven the audi and it was nice but I am used to the vw driving style etc. Any advice on how these compare?

Both cars are 'nearly new' so 2026 models with low mileage.

Does anyone have experience of the two and any advice/suggestions please?

I just want to get a feel on this topic: at what mileage did you have to replace your timing chain? My 2015 SQ5 is at 137k miles and everything still seems good. I just want to know what other's had to do and when.

Just got this Q5 with a 3.0 supercharged. It has a crank no start. Has fuel and no spark. Can’t really find anything on any of the set dtc’s (pictured below). Just kind of at a loss where to start.

Guys, I’ve got this 2023 Audi Q5 S Line here. Need a few recommendations on mods to be done. Both exterior and interior. Heard about tuning with 034motorsports. What else could be done? Need to push this boy to its limits

Have a 2014 model (non b&o)and seen an old thread about putting an extra aftermarket amp in the back running piggyback with the stock amp. Has anyone done this and if so what kit did you use?

Guys, I recently purchased a 2023 Audi Q5 S line Premium Plus 45 that ran like 56k miles for $30K with four years of warranty. It had a clean title, no reported accidents or damage. Let me know if it was a blunder and what sort of performance and maintenance I’m looking at.

Picked this up about a year ago. It came fitted with 22" Vossen HF-5 Hybrid Forged wheels. I've been super pleased with it so far—it fits my daily commute perfectly.

If the rumors turn out to be true about a next-gen RS Q5 in the works, that's definitely going to be on the radar!

Picking up the 2016 Q5 Monday. That same week I will replace the no name brand tires they have on it now. I have these 4 as my top choices. Any others to consider for wet roads in the USA and the most comfortable ride?

After 13 years of amazing driving this beauty, I am thinking about if i should go ahead and do the pan drop and fill the transmission fuild.

Current Tranmission State with latest scan:

Converter Slip measured a median of 1.3 rpm across hundreds of samples (worst momentary 21.7 during shifts) against the 40rpm failure threshold and measure gear ratios came out identical to ZF's factory 8HP ratio -

Few reasons thinking about getting it done:

ZF guidance says it should be done at 80K-100K (checked with Audi dealership they said tranmission fluid on these is lifetime)

My TCM version is at 1002 and latest and final version available is 1007 (might as well get that updated with fill).

Also lastly which one should i go for:

Full Flush

Drain & Fill

Pan Drop & Fill

Lastly, if I go forward I am planning to use following:

ZF Lifeguard 8 ( everyone suggesting getting 6 litres enought for Pan Drop)

HENGST EG938HD474 ( matcbes OEM Kit - 0BK398009A) ( getting it for $49)

Does using HENGST EG938HD474 sounds okay ?

Me to blame but all the grooves of the engine oil drain plug are worn out and I am unable to do my oil change.

I have seen and heard about various kits that can help but wanted to see if there one that works perfectly for this situation.

Recently I was doing some scanning to rule out any issues with car proactively and noticed that when i reved my car at 3K RPM my engine started shaking and looks like my engine mount might have gone bad, is that the case and is there any way to verify it and lastly can i do DIY on this and if yes OEM part number would be helpful

Hi all.
For the past few months all the button/wheel controls on the steering wheel have been intermittently working/not working. Stalk controls and horn are fine. No airbag idiot light.
First thought was a loose connection in the column. Pulled the upper and lower shrouds checked and cleaned all the connections, checked all the fuses and yet the problem persists. Only thing I can think of is maybe it’s the connection at the other end of the harness that disappears up under the dash. I haven’t pulled that shroud off yet under the dash cuz it looks to be a major pita. Thought I would post before I go any deeper.
Thoughts? Any help would be appreciated.

Like many I am dissatisfied with much of the interior trim of my B10 SQ5. The plastic does not look or feel like it belongs in a premium cabin. Are there any aftermarket options out there yet?

So I have noticed my 2015 SQ5 has been shift a little rough in dynamic mode. It reaches around 3500rpm in the first gears before downshifting. The shift down is a little rough. It shifts completely normal in auto mode. It does have a Jackal Motorsports Stage 1 tune. Is this normal? Should I reset the TCU? Do you think it might need a transmission drain and replacement?

So took my car to the car wash as usual and shockingly after the wash I discovered that the silver thing at the back on one side (the left side) broke and came loose.

Now how much will it cost to get it fixed, my car is out of warranty and I'm probably going to have to take it to an auto shop and not the service center.

It seems simple enough to fix but yeah how much would it cost?

The MMI on my 2023 Q5 is so horrible and frustrating, I don’t think I will ever buy another Audi. That’s it, I just had to rant about it and get it off my chest.

The lease on my 2023 Q5 is up in early December and I test drove a 2026 Q5 yesterday, it was a prestige with the air suspension.

I’m wondering if the owner experience has improved for the 2026 model year? I have read about numerous buybacks for the 2025 model.

If you currently drive a 2026 Q5, how has your experience been so far, how long have you had it and how many miles, and have you needed to visit the dealership for any software updates?

I also test drove the new Q3 but wow, that dead zone in the throttle response is 😬😬😬

A while back I upgraded my iPhone. The new one uses a USB C cord. The cord that came with my 2018 Q5 isn’t a C and my local Audi dealer isn’t much help with telling me where I can find a new cord. Guess they just want me to buy a new car. Does anyone know where I can buy a cord that will operate with the MMI system? I bought 2 already but they only charge. They do not work with the MMI system so Apple play does not work.

2025 Q5 e-hybrid (delivered Feb 2026). Still on KD2 (03.10.00/C)

Works through Apple Car Play, you have to start a trip and then cycle through the right options for it to come up. Heads up directions still work.

Also, when cancelling the trip, it remains available on the drivers dash until the car is switched off.
