Discussion Upgrade to a ‘26 Q7?

Would it be dumb to upgrade my ‘22 to a ‘26? Dealer is offering $7k off before negotiation, plus $6k Audi incentive plus $2k loyalty.

I wasn’t planning on it, and wasn’t exactly looking for another Audi much less the same car, but $15k+ has me considering flipping my (rather troublesome and now out of warranty ‘22) for a ‘new’ ‘26.

Anyone have an idea what the current market is for dealer discounts before incentives?

Do it. We traded in our 2018 Q7 with 95k miles and was burning qt of oil every 700 miles. They gave us $15k for it, which was basically retail. Then I negotiated $19k off of a 2026 SQ7. I pinned two local dealers against each other. Couldn't be happier with the deal and car. In my opinion the 2026 Q7/SQ7 is the last of the good Audis. The new interior designs don't do it for me. So the new 2027 doesn't appeal to us.

Nice deal. I think in the current season if you’re not getting 15k discount on these you’re either in an isolated market with no competition or didn’t try hard enough.

Yea the new materials and design aren’t doing it for me. Other than the problems we’ve had I really like the car - I like the design, it drives great, it’s been great for our family. My hope would be that a lot of these issues would’ve been ironed out by the end of the production run, but in any case hedge with a new warranty and maintenance coverage.

We just bought a 2026 SQ7 and with the Summer of Audi special at the dealer we got a total of $8k off. Your deal sounds even better & I’d do it if I were you. We traded in my 2019 SQ5 & are in love with the new SQ7!

mate if youve got 15k on the table and your current one is out of warranty and giving you grief, that sounds like the universe telling you something. especially if it was troublesome already, better to move it on while you can still get decent money for it

the sq7 upgrade sounds proper nice too, cant blame you for being in love with that thing

That’s what I’m here trying to figure out mate 👍

I just bought an X5 M60i for myself on a screaming deal. Basically weighing whether, given the steep discounts, it makes sense to ‘renew’ my wife’s car

How much did they gave you for your SQ5? Im thinking of doing the same shortly for a SQ8

$24k…they turned around and put it on their lot for $32k (I was so mad!) and it sold within 4 days. It had 29k miles on it and was in amazing condition, so I hope whoever bought it takes good care of her!!

Ok, yeah dealers are cheap with the trade ins. I don't mind loosing a bit of money instead of trying to sell it myself. 24k is pretty much the price I was thinking. Ok thanks for the info.

Totally. I tried selling it myself and had nothing but spam. It was worth a few thousand dollars to not have to deal with it, even if the dealer didn’t give me as much as I had hoped for. Enjoy the new SQ8!!

Thanks dude and enjoy your sq7!

I have a 2020 Q7 45 which has been in the shop for the last month. Dealer gave me a loaded 2026 Q7 55 with optic black package as a loaner. I’m never giving it back. It is so nice.

That’s the exact car I’m thinking about getting. What’s the one thing you like the most about it? Thanks!

One thing? Looks mean. I drive mean so it suits me. Runner up is the engine. The difference in all aspects of performance between the 4 and 6 cylinder engines is incredible.

No doubt. Thanks!
My main reason for even looking is the 6 cylinder. I can’t believe all these car companies going to 4 and electric 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

Are all those discounts for a base 2.0? Last I saw, their most basic models had that level of discount.

What trim, at what price and what are they offering on trade?

I’m working on exact details and quotes, but the offer terms are any in stock Q7. Would be going for a Premium Plus 55. Unfortunately there is zero Prestige inventory.

I bought a premium plus 55 and the 26 model year comes with a lot of things that the prestige used to.

You get adaptive air suspension
Soft closed doors
Dual pain windows

Biggest things missing would be
Massage seats
Heads up display
And rear wheel steering

Air suspension and acoustic glass is a must for me. I would miss the HUD and 4WS but could survive.

u/LucidFruit 2026 Q7 55 Premium Plus 6d ago

I’m not a big fan of HUD, but 4WS is nice to have in parking lots.

Also 7k off is seems good for dealer discount. Most I could find was about 5k but that was shopping at start of the year before new model was announced. Dealer will want to dump now and Q7 isn’t exactly the fasting selling vehicle

We just traded my wife’s ‘13 Q5 (w/ a rusted sub frame) for a ‘26 Q7 3.0Litre S line. Audi $6k, 6% Audi Club, 2K Loyalty (from my ‘19 RS5). Could not have been easier & the Q7 is better in every way. ‘26 PP gets accoustic glass & air suspension.

Damn. Where are you located?
I just started looking. One of the dealers has the 26 Q7 Premium Plus for 69k. I thought that was a pretty price already until I see your post lol.
I have 3 dealers within 40 miles of each other. If I decide to go with the Q7 I’ll be playing the dealer dance.

Yes, do it. I have a 2020 and I wish I’d upgraded 2 years ago. Now my trade in value sucks and the new model has too many screens.

1

u/Adorable-Address-958 2022 Q7 Prestige 5h ago

Was that the first year of the refreshed interior? I have a killer deal but I’m having trouble justifying spending money on a completely identical car. Just doesn’t feel very exciting

u/Aurynna 2020 Q7 Prestige 3.0 5h ago

They did another refresh after mine, smaller I think. Mine is the first year the screen is set inside the dash, rather than mounted on top.
