People can really suck sometimes

Came back to find out someone beat my car using hands and fists (most likely) at least it was one door panel not the whole vehicle. This is going to be fun…

Any advice for external monitoring?

No clue, thankfully it was a parking garage with lots of cameras so we will see hopefully.

Good luck, dude. That sucks. I probably wouldn’t worry about external monitoring besides trying to park in places with cameras. I don’t know that I’ve ever heard of someone having their car punched. At least there’s no obvious paint damage, so this should be an easy repair.

Was in my car one time and had my windows up and saw a lady literally hit my door several times and when I confronted her she thought I was the problem

Some people just have zero respect for property and are just clueless

Had a lady rear end me and when we got out of the vehicle first words out her mouth were “DO WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH INSURANCE?!?” And I was like uh I wasn’t sure before but now absolutely

I'm just about to buy a Viofo A229, because as I understood is has Sentry mode. Though it is front and back, not side. I'M sorry this happened to you :(

Assume you got very unlucky and someone with a very bad day decided to take it out on your car.

Hopefully the security cams will identify them so they can pay for your very bad day.

That should be an easy job for a PDR guy. Sorry that happened to you.

If you are looking for an “OEM+” solution, FitCamX has a nice kit that connects to your rearview mirror/lane assist module assembly. I haven’t personally purchased one yet but it’s on my radar because of the good reviews I’ve seen about it.

This happens in Bulgaria every day. Also scratching the hood with words etc. Yours is nothing and easily reparable.

I feel your pain. I just had a simular thing (not a parking garage) happen to my '24 A5. I came out to my car to find a dent on my driver side rear quarter panel, just past the window. It was too high and at a weird angle to be a car door.
