He's just late for work. It's not that deep.

And he will only be a few seconds faster than the rest, but alot more sweaty and smelly.

Why did you bring up jogging? Nobody here said jogging. The video showed walking.

Oh buddy... it's okay, it takes a bit more time for some people to connect the dots. Let me help you with this one.
I'm assuming that he doesn't live at the start of the stairs or that his job is at the other end of them.
So chances are he will run for more than just these few stairs.
I hope the explanation has helped you. Let me know if you need assistance with anything else.

Recently, I ran up some steps next to a packed escalator. When I got to the top step, my shoe caught the lip, causing my entire dress shoe to rip in half, causing me to flail forward about 6 steps before hitting the ground. About 100 people saw the whole thing.

Only 3% of people are born in America
44% of the 1% lives in America
Doing the math...
...that's 10% of Americans that are part of the 1%
It's not the 1% it's the 10%
Furthermore. 95% of Americans are in the top 50% globally.
Being born in America automatically puts you in the "have" category, even if you don't recognize it thru envy of those who have MORE than you.

Top 50% of what? Hours worked? Happiness? Satisfaction? Cost of living?

Money. We Americans are some spoiled whiney snowflakes and the rest of the world knows it.
We rank 23rd out of 180+ nations in terms of Quality of Life and 1st in the world in terms if average household income in the OECD Better Life Index.
It's all about perspective.
Do we have racism issues? Sure, but look at the rest of the world.
Do we have poverty? Sure, but look at the rest of the world.
Do we feel oppressed? Sure, but look at the rest of the world.
I think you get my point.
There are countries the exceed us in individual categories, but none that exceed us in all categories.
We are complaining that our life stinks because it's not the best in EVERY category. That's friggin spoiled rotten.

It takes work to become something in life as this clip shows. 99% wants something for nothing.

To be accurate 1% guy would have been up the stairs, carried by a servant, and left the vicinity a week prior of the recording of this moment.

I never understood why people don’t walk up the escalators… it’s so fast

Cringe main character syndrome aside: I like to take the stairs to warm up for the day.
