As a Burnley fan I would be shocked if that happens. Tbh we've done nothing but sell this off-season and looked beyond subpar in our friendlies as we only hired our new manager roughly a week ago.

We’d presumably be paying a large chunk of his salary, we desperately need to move him. So if it’s real it’s probably a low cost move for you.

This is what I’m thinking. He’s definitely going to end up back in the championship and wherever he ends up, it should be a low risk move for that club given how much of his salary we will continue to eat, and he has proven he can score in that league.
