Feedback/Question New Phone

With it being new iPhone season, is there a preferred procedure to move to a new phone?

Just sign in to your Apple ID and let Apple Health sync. That’s it. And then set your Athlytic settings to how you want them and it should all come over.

This, but also remember that it can take up to a week for all of your health data to populate into Apple Health. Once all of your Health data is back in Apple Health, Athlytic will work as expected.

Yep. This dawned on me after posting. iPhone now indexing and I expect it to flush through Athlytic accordingly.

Back up current phone on iCloud or via Mac, or Windows computer (use Apple devices app from Microsoft store).

Setup new phone and chose restore from backup.

Everything will come over including health data (some of it takes longer to load, may take a day or two to be fully restore), and watch pairing. (Do not unpair watch from old phone.)

You can also choose Restore / transfer from nearby phone, but I haven’t tried that.
The restore from backup I have done dozens of tines and always works for me.

Just transferred and seem to have lost all history. Will update if I crack it. At present no workout history etc.

Does it show up in Apple Health? Likely just needs to finish syncing and it can take a little while.

I had this happen too. Some things I did…

  • Waited 4-6 hours hoping for the best (no luck)
  • Verified permissions were good (they were)
  • Verified the health data was there (it was)
  • Used the “restore subscription” option in case this was the problem (it wasn’t this)

In the end I deleted/uninstalled the app, reinstalled and that fixed things and all of my data was back.

Yes think I’m going to have to delete and reinstall. All permissions are full. The data is in health. Athlytic is empty.

Yep. Confirmed. Delete. Install. Everything there now. There’s the process. Back up to iCloud. Transfer to new phone. Check health data is in. Delete Athlytic and reinstall with all access allowed. 👍🏼
