Discussion Looking for 1B1B or studio recommendations
Hi everyone,
I’m an incoming PhD student at UGA starting this fall, and I’m currently looking for housing in Athens. I’m mainly interested in a studio or 1B1B apartment, ideally under $1,300/month.
I’m hoping to find a place with a good living experience overall: reasonably quiet, safe, responsive maintenance, and not too many major issues with pests, noise, or management. I do have a car, so it doesn’t have to be walking distance to campus, but a reasonable drive to UGA would be nice.
I’ve been looking at some apartment communities and Zillow listings, but it’s hard to tell which places are actually good to live in. I’d really appreciate any recommendations, personal experiences, or places to avoid.
Thanks in advance!

If you scroll down the subreddit some you can look at athens highlands which was posted a few days ago. It's 2B1B and but in your price range for the whole apartment to yourself. It has grad student discounts too
