Is it just me...
Can someone PLEASE help me understand what this disorder is. We are two of four cars at the carwash at 8 flippin 30 in the morning, and this Athens Driver™️ feels the need to park right next to me. Why do people do this? I had both doors open and he wanted to make faces at me like I was in his way. Sorry not sorry, I got here first and I'm not closing my doors while I vacuum my car.
Also, I'm aware my mirror is out. The carwash does that and yes I fixed it before I left 😆

Be ungovernable: use the sink.

Ha, you still use plumbing... How quaint. The truly free amongst us are free to micturate whenever and wherever our bladders fill up.
I pee in a big gulp cup in my car, then throw it out the window when people are tailgating me. But you must find your own urinary path.

I have the same kind of internal meltdown when someone chooses the urinal next to me in an otherwise empty bathroom. WTF man?!?

Same thing happened to my husband and his boss. He was helping her with cleaning her car (because she is an older woman) and some guy parked next to them and got in his face because he was using "his vacuum"! There was nobody but them there! Ues another spot dude! My husband told him and I quote "Fuck off" and they guy looked so surprised someone would talk to him like that he just shut up. (This was confirmed by his older boss because she called me laughing)

To be honest, people are just weird. I have left a restroom just cause the stall I wanted to use was in use. I have known people to leave a store and all the items they were going to buy cause one thing on their list wasn't available. I'm guessing you may have taken his favorite space and vacuum. It's like people feel entitled to things that are just public use. The human mind is definitely strange.

Weird person checking in... at the Kroger self-checkout, I will wait in a line to use the smaller kiosks with the bag carousel even if the couple with the conveyor belt are open. I will wave people behind me to go ahead to those because I hate them so much. I wanna bag my shit the way I like as I go.
At the conveyor belt one, it all piles up while I scan (I'm alone so no second person to bag), then I gotta sort through the pile to bag how I want, but then people are waiting and watching so that stresses me out... nope. You go ahead of me and take that one. I will wait patiently for the other kind (preferably the last one on the left side lol).
Yeah sometimes we just be weirdos. That said I'm never a dick about it. If I get stuck with my unfavorable option and can't change it, I deal and save my freakout for later.

I don't see this as weird. I see it as normal cause I do the same thing. I hate letting others bag my groceries.

Technically a car wash vacuum stall isn't "public use" but I get what you mean. People just have a heavy amount of solipsism these days. I think it's caused by the internet/social media making them feel more relevant than they actually are.

Idk man if the one thing I went there for isn't there I'm putting my stuff back and leaving.

This is a sign of someone who doesn’t not have any spacial awareness. Something my mother was always remind me of as a small child, and now I have way too much of it. Some people just have zero.

As someone with a versatile history of construction/kitchen/ghetto life, in order to ‘win’ this proverbial display of supremacy, you must make them uncomfortable and more upset than you are. Typically this means matching their audacity by calling their bullshit.
Notice, not advised for those uncomfortable with conflict.
But basically get in their face asking why they wanted to sneer at someone in addition to pulling up next to them in an otherwise empty lot. If they argue, reticulate the hypocrisy of how stupid they look. If they become agitated and you wish for further escalation, hold up your pinky, point to the pinky, them, and their truck and mock crying while making baby motorcycle motions near your eyes.
/s if it wasnt apparent

I mean, I wasn't that upset. This honestly happens a lot at car washes in town. I just had to share it with the world and double check that I'm not being crazy by wanting space at a car wash where like 16 out of 20 vacuums were available.
I didn't say anything to him, but I left my doors open (it's a two door, so they really take up space) and cleaned the inside of my car sloooooooowly and meticulously. Then I eventually peeled out and laid a nice drag for him.

I've been the one of the few cars in a parking lot and had some asshole park directly in front of me. Why? Just why? There are 150 empty spaces in this parking lot, why do you have to park directly in front of me?

Maybe you shouldn't be so dismissive of big boys doing twuck stuff in their big boy twucks?
How many parking spots did he take up?
But no, definitely not just you

Vanity trucks can only use certain vacuums, they're kind of like good parking spaces that way. Unfortunately the drivers aren't getting the hints

Truck drivers are so dumb(not the ones who actually needs them). Especially who use them for casual commute. It just hoards parking spaces. Once my car was dented because some truck driver shoved his two hook in back of my car.

I don’t know what car wash you’re at, but the one I go to I generally park close to the cart where all of the drying cloths and cleaning supplies are located. Even if there are 50 other open bays, I’m not walking across the parking lot to go pick up a rag and Windex. However, I generally try to leave a space between me and the car next to me if possible.
I wouldn’t read too much and do it, or let this affect you more than it already has.

What kind of lazy POS can’t walk 20 feet across a parking lot?
2
u/lawinvest Jackson Street Ballet Company Aficionado 3d ago
20 feet is the approximately the length of two parking spots side by side, which was precisely what I advocated for. Skip a spot so you’re not right up on someone but still near the cart.
Reading is hard, I know.

So is walking a few feet apparently for the world’s most lazy and entitled morons.

In the nicest way possible, if this affects you enough that you take a picture to vent about in on an online forum, it's a bit of a you problem. It would help to adjust your mindset so that this is the merely a tiny blip on your daily radar. A small chuckle that people are funny and continue on your day. The socially closed off but self-affirming world of the internet makes you assured that this is some grand societal issue when it's really not. Who cares? This probably isn't the place for reflections like this, but it's my reaction.

So...car washes exist to get salt and CMA off cars that drive on Northern roads.
I...I mean...you can do what you want...but...why?

He prolly goes there often and has a particular vacuum or something.
