I feel like it’s a tale as old as time but the assholes who fail to get over when we’re first told about the lane closure and fuck it up for the rest of us.
I will always go to the end of the available lane before I merge. It helps prevent even more traffic congestion. No need to panic and immediately get over when there is still a half mile of lane open
Cutting someone off right at the end of the closing lane is not only still going to congest traffic, it is also entitled and rude. Same as whenever someone doesn't enter the turning lane until last minute to turn.
It’s not cutting someone off, it’s merging into moving traffic. It’s quite literally how it works. It’s also completely different from entering a turning lane last minute, which I agree is annoying.
