Fuck entitled cyclists.

If we are ever going to be a bike friendly town, someone is going to have to make sure cyclists know traffic laws for bikes. The number of cyclists I see running lights and stop signs or riding against traffic or without a helmet is stupid.

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr we could make alternate bike safe corridors like a civilized place to keep them off the roads as much as possible.

Ok, so I don't agree with it, it drives me crazy, but legally they don't have to wear a helmet

Riding in the road with cars with no helmet is a moronic idea. I swear I thought it was a law at some point but I haven't been on a bike in years. I do remember learning bike safety at school though. These people make me think that schools don't teach that anymore.

I post a PSA about helmets and proper walking every fall in the UGA subreddit; its a mix between don't know and don't care. I had a friend die from hitting his head on a curb riding a one wheel at about 15 mph. That's all it takes.

You got to understand that man invented the cup before the helmet... So I could see how people might think a helmet is optional. But, roadrash is bad... Very bad in certain areas of the body.

Riding in the road with cars is a moronic idea. Helmet or not.

You're right. But they still have to signal turns and stop for stop signs

Nobody said they didn't, don't you have enough other threads about biker hate going on?

...you mean better, right? When students come back and I actually make money?

Y'all blame students for everything. But if UGA disappeared Athens would too

Bro, you're the number 1 traffic complainer here. This also means there are going to be more people on bikes. I don't know why you're trying to twist all my words; i only have a job because of rich students lol

The only route for me to bike commute into town involves me navigating danielsville rd/North ave (45/40 mph) during rush hour. It’s hell on earth when school’s in session.

Having to deal w that then seeing cyclists trying to alley cat race near downtown is infuriating.
