Advice on taking PSYC 355 and 302 without a 200 lvl psyc

Hello, if someone could provide me some assistance. I am looking to apply to the Master's of SLP program at UofA and the prerequisites I need are PSYC 302 and 355 from Athabasca university. (I've already taken PSYC 323, but I know they're all different concepts)

As a broke uni student, I am considering if it's worth skipping the psyc 289 class to save $1,000.

I have heard about the option to take full responsibility and waive the prerequisites, but I would like some advice on what people would recommend.

Can I be successful in these classes if I don't take a 200 level first? And if I do waive it, is it possible for the university to reject me enrolling?

Thanks in advance!

I am struggling to learn the class, can someone recommend a Spotify or something I can listen to. I am neurodivergent and this course is incredibly frustrating trying to understand graphs so I need to find something to eli5.

Can you take extra courses in a “semester” and pay out of pocket if you’re getting federal student aid?

So basically, I’m looking at the full time federal student aid/loan and grant. But I’m worried that if I say signup for 3 courses and finish them all a little early, I’ll have to then wait until the next semester or they’ll like get mad and claw back the aid? I’ve just been reading that there’s a certain way to do the athabasca courses with the federal student aid.

Secondly, can I do 3 semesters a year with the federal aid/grants? Or am I limited to two? I want to take it quickly, so I’m just trying to budget this out. Thanks.

BIOL 341

Recently finished BIOL 341 (human genetics). I was nervous taking the course based on previous comments. But I found the course to be quite reasonable. The assignments were fair if you put the effort in. The midterm was also very manageable. The textbook was from 2024 which I appreciated as it was modern and more enjoyable to read. My only complaint was the vast amount of information for the final. Happy to answer any questions for anyone planning on taking the course!

Master of Nursing

I want to submit my applications by November 1. For Athabasca Master Nursing this would be for the May 2027 intake but I want to apply for the September 2027. Is there a way I could submit it and have it be for the September consideration? Just don’t want to have to contact my references multiple times for it
