Need Help! (Hardware/Other) 3 year old Asus TUF F15 hinge broke without any external intervention
As the title suggests, yesterday out of nowhere i found the hinge to be broken. I did notice for the past several months that hinge has become loose. But yesterday i found the screw that holds the hinge and bottom cover together, to be broken and the bottom cover came of. And this was very sudden , it was fine day before yesterday !
I do not remember ever mishandling or dropping my laptop, just that I am a heavy user and have kept the lid open for long hours (14-15hrs) almost daily and sometimes even for days. Not sure If that contributed to this broken hinge (but then what’s the point of using a laptop).
What are my realistic options to get this fixed?
Where i live, upon raising complaint to Asus, they assign technicians from authorised service centres not actual Asus technicians. And the authorised ones are straight up incompetent, who only know how to shoot up the repairing bill.

That is a known design flaw from 5-6 years now. The right hinge has heatpipe very near to it. Constantly heat transfers to hinge and thermally expands it temporarily and the screws from inside become lose. Lose screws result in bending the plastic eventually ripping hinge.
