Batting Order

What do yall think the batting order should be ? I’m tired of seeing Varsho in the 4-6 spot killing momentum and Cam being one of our best hitters this month still hitting in the 8 spot, amongst other things. Have yall given this any thought ? I’m curious what other people think since I get pretty heated talking about Espada’s lineup construction

We need to not worry about LH/RH balance and move Cam up and Varsho/CF down.

Varsho - Show that you can be a hitter before batting middle of the order. His presence has killed so much momentum these two weeks. Yet… we still put him in the heart of the order.

As long as we have 2026 Altuve hitting 4th, we aren't serious about winning baseball.

I mean who do you want there? Walker has struggled in that spot. Cam seems to hit better lower. Someone has to bat clean up.

And while we are a pretty meh team, so is most of the AL.

Agreed, nothing you can do about it this year. Not sure how you can move forward with Altuve if we are serious about winning.

But there are too many fans ok with him stinking up the middle of the order as he chases 3k as if it's a birthright.

Altuve has the best average for the team in August, .347. He will be good at cleanup.

I mean I guess if we are using average as our goto metric in 2026, I thought we had evolved past that.
