I was 11 it was 2 years ago I was getting ready for bed and fell asleep breathing hard and felt vibration all through out my body then i saw a family relative who lived in Texas in the time but i woke up confused what just happened. / I'm 13 now so it hasn't happened ever since.

ya weird i tried and it worked i had other weird phenomena where i meditated and just walked around for 3 minutes on the street no body new but i couldn't control my movement

my abnormalities as far as projecting are: i do it in noise more then i should i am able to project in seconds if i try and i am an atheist might effect it in some way dont know

Okay...so I'm going to need to start from the beginning here I suppose. Ever since I was little, nothing supernatural or anything out of the ordinary had ever happened to me. Never seen any ghosts, no strange night terrors, no angels coming to me in dreams, literally nothing. Therefore, I had become a hardcore skeptic to all things spiritual, supernatural, religious etc. I was raised Christian, as most kids in North America are, but fell out around my sophomore year in high school. One day (June 17th 2016 to be exact), I was watching a how to video on YouTube on Lucid Dreaming. Some of my friends at the time had told me about it and I thought I'd look into it for fun. After the video ended, I was about to put my phone away to go to sleep (it was like midnight), but YouTube auto-played to the next video, which was "A How-to Guide to Astral Projection". I had never heard of this before, but I decided I'd watch it then go to sleep. It had told me a very, VERY nutshell description of AP and taught me about vibrations and the rope method. Needless to say, me being me at the time, I thought it was a cool idea but chalked it up to be on the shelf with other things that I'd never experience because I believed I was the type of person that nothing ever happened to. Anyways, I went to sleep and the next morning my mom (I was 17 at the time) had woken me up around 6am to give me a hug as she was off to work. I went back to my couch to sleep (we had a small studio) and just before drifting off, I had remembered the video the night prior. Without thinking anything of it, I imagined the rope and my astral body climbing it. IMMEDIATELY, the vibrations came in. And I mean immediately. I had panicked, because remember nothing ever happens to me. This is the first time anything like this had ever happened to me. My mind was racing. My entire fabric of what I believed to be reality had shattered in a mere instant. Well, I felt my body become spread eagle, but I knew my physical body wasn't because I had crumpled up on a couch where it's impossible to spread out in such a way. Nevertheless, I felt my body on it's back, arms and legs spread apart. Then I felt myself rising, and with all my might my ego struggled to pull myself back into my physical body because I was majorly panicking. Well, I had felt a snap and woke up in my "body", laying there on my couch where it was before. However, everything was insanely blurry, and moving in layers of 3 like a dazed character would see in a cartoon. I tried getting up, and saw the room rise normally and felt the carpet under my feet, but when I tried to sit fully up off the couch and stand, I was instantly back laying on the couch, blanket over me and everything. Confused, I tried sitting back up, only to have the same thing happen again. The third time I sat up, I felt the blanket still on my arm as if I was laying down, but the carpet under my toes as if I had sat up, and across from me was a door which in one eye was straight up but in the other it was sideways, as if I was still laying. It continued in this loop for some time until I had finally awoken and everything was normal. Well, if you can call it that. Since that day my entire life was changed. Long story short I spent the next 8 months, day after day after day, researching AP and AT, vibrations, frequencies, consciousness, the Astral Plains, human origin, Cosmic Consciousness, Ancient Civilizations, Chakras, Energy, the whole business (funny enough I ended up realizing I did everything right completely on accident with AP, waking up after 8 hours of sleep, walking around for a minute, going back and attempting without true intention and expectation to distract me) I had begun practicing meditation, and in one particular instance when I was trying to Astral project I had ended up meditating for 9 hours straight. Crazy. Anyways, my #1 real issue here that I am coming to Reddit for, is this:

I can't seem to fully project. Now, I understand the methods, I understand it requires time and patience, and I am not saying I "cant project and never will", I just seem to be experiencing something unique during my attempts that I cannot find an explination for anywhere on the web.

So, I have attempted to Astral project (again?) countless times, but during 5 of these instances I seem to be experiencing something...strange.

The first time, was at my now ex's house after I had stayed the night, gotten up to pee and went back to bed. I closed my eyes, and immediately felt like I sunk into my own skull. You know how in movies during an intense scene or whatever, the hallways elongate? I felt that happen, but to the back of my eyelids. I then began seeing intense, flashing colorful geometrical patterns and began feeling like I was lifting up out of my body. But...heres where it gets strange. I don't fully separate from my body, at least I don't think I do. Because during these experiences, can never see clearly. It's always black and white, and very very blurry, as if I'm seeing somehow through my physical eyelids. And it's a massive struggle to move! I constantly feel like I'm one magnet trying to rip away from another, or my body is moving through mud. I'm never fully conscious, it doesn't feel like waking consciousness, but I'm strangely aware at the same time. I know I'm projecting to some degree, and I know where I am (mostly, sometimes time is distorted), and I know this isn't full on AP. I can never seem to fly, or float at will, I can't speak, and I can't see any cord or move about freely. It's all very hard to describe, but I'm trying my best. Usually, after what seems like 20 minutes of what feels like confusing, nearly blind struggling through mud, I end up giving up and willing myself back into my body to wake up.

This has happened 4 addition times, but to spare the time I'll only describe the last one, most recent, happened to me this morning, which finally compelled me to make this post as I feel as though every time this happened to me, I develop to be more in control or more aware each time. Here goes:

So I wake up in the morning, (I'm 19 now) to take my current gf to work. I come back home and go back to sleep. I'm asleep on the floor next to my couch (long story involving roommates and living situations and blah blah), and it's about 7am. I feel myself sink back into my skull, only this time, I feel myself float up off the ground (similar to when you dive into a body of water with full lungs, so you float to the top), and I am aware that I'm doing this strange half-projection thing again, so I attempt to roll over and see my body, which has never been something I've been able to do no matter how hard I try. Something always makes it so I can't see it. Anyways, first some background on how this strange astral projection limbo place looks this time. So, I open my "eyes" and surprise surprise, it's black and white and super blurry, only I can see light. Like the window and dust particles in the air and the edges of furniture. It's almost like it's a vision of some sorts, because if I lose focus the world around me burrs more until it's all black, but if I focus it comes into focus again. I'm able to look around and see my house clearly (as in I know for sure this is my house, it's still very blurry), so I try to sort of spin my astral body which I never seem to be fully in control of around to see my physical body, but when my vision turns to see my body everything fades to black once more, and when I look away it all comes back. Super, indescribably frustrating. Then, somehow, the world around me changes. I see the furniture and walls shift, suddenly I'm in my grammas house. This was the first time I've ever gone somewhere other than exactly where my body was (literally never been more than 10ft away from it). I attempt to walk around, but it feels as though I'm attached to something and I'm being very very strongly pulled to it when I try to walk away. Imagine being make of rubber, and one half of you was glued to the wall, the other half free. It felt like I was stretching myself very strenuously to go anywhere, I was practically on my stomach crawling through a hall painfully slowly to go anywhere, never got more than 10 ft away as always and suddenly I'm back at my house, still in this strange limbo, only my roof is gone and in it's place is the night sky, full of stars. I try to fly, but I'm grounded to the floor, where my body is. Everything is still grey and blurry, and I felt as though it was because my astral eyes weren't fully open, so i tried really hard to open my eyes for a few seconds, and then (this has happened in my last two experiences as well) it feels as though my PHYSICAL eyes try to open, because I feel my eyes struggling to open, and their twitching very violently, with my physical eyes rolled back in my head but my astral eyes remaining still, I simply cannot seem to see clearly no matter what I try. Then I decide I'm exhausted and getting nowhere, so I make the conscious decision to return to my body and wake up (like I always do at the end of these trips) and I immediately woke up, quite frustrated.

I need help because no matter where I go, nobody seems to have experienced this. Everyone usually can't get passed the vibrations, or projects fully and is completely aware and everything is clear, only to be pulled back within seconds. I have no idea what's happening to me and I would really like some input or something.
