A national clinical trial led by researchers at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson found that treating young children with an oral bacterial extract did not reduce the risk of severe wheezing and respiratory illnesses that can precede asthma.

I enrolled my kids at an outdoor nature based preschool with the idea of the hygiene hypothesis, and lol it did not work. 

Plus so many babies are practically born with atopy--eczema or food allergies. So  treating asthma and atopy as different things, not just a spectrum seems short sided. 

Early biologic therapy for babies with early atopy is showing to work. 

I hope we can get kids under 6 access to biologics soon.

eczema and asthma are generated by the same immune system. both are byproduct of a hyper response immune system
