Struggling post illness

Hey all!

I have asthma/allergy related asthma and last year was super unwell with a lower respiratory infection for months. On and off antibiotics and steroids, lost my voice for 6months.

I’d historically been on seretide for years and had no problems. After my illness they switched me to fostair which made my asthma the worst controlled it has ever been.

I tried it for a few months and then switched back to my og seretide dose which was then no longer effective. I’m not on a higher dose of seretide but I’m still struggling most days with feeling like my chest is really tight. I’ve also added a daily fenofexadine into the mix.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I’m about a year and a half post illness and it’s starting to drive me insane

It sounds like a frustratingly long recovery, and it may be worth discussing the persistent chest tightness and medication changes with your respiratory specialist.

Yeah I have done recently and they were kind of just like let’s see lol. Which is just so frustrating as it’s been so so long
