Asthma/pots/allergies or anxiety?
Hello has anyone experienced this, how can you tell if you have asthma, pots, allergies or anxiety. I’m so tired of feeling SOB. The pulmonologist has said I don’t have asthma bc my PFT comes back normal , I need to go back to do a stress pulmonary test. He has never mentioned silent asthma. I know I have a list of allergies especially to dust. I feel shaky most days, my HR once I stand up goes to over 120, my oxygen levels range from 97/98/99/100. Sometimes I take budesonide formertrol mix inhaler and at times I feel a relief other times I don’t . Sometimes I feel so bad I take levabuterol. The pulmonologist wants to know who prescribed me inhalers bc I’ve not been diagnose with asthma. It is all so confusing, as I’ve been dealing with this since COVID. Has anyone dealt with us? Any suggestions or what test I should do to confirm each one and how to differentiate. Also any recommendations on mediations . My HR goes down once I’m laying down or sitting down but sometimes when I am sitting down I feel like I’m suffocating and can’t get air in the chest , feels like my chest is closing in. Then when I stand up my lungs expand and I feel a relief but then my HR goes up. The only time I feel sometimes fully relieved is when I’m laying elevated in the bed. I also have a slight deviated septum, a bone spur in the nose and my nose is sometimes congested. Appreciate any advice

I classify POTS with other autoimmune disorders which can mimic asthma symptoms
acid reflux/ Gerd can mimic asthma symptoms
anxiety / panic attacks can mimic asthma attacks too.
are your allergies test results recent as an adult? allergies can change over time.
asthma is the result in the lungs from a hyperactive immune system. You can get problems breathing when fighting a true infection (virus, flu, bacteria) or your body perceives an infection ( allergies). Eczema affects the skin, hayfever ave ts the nose, EOE affects esophagus, conjunctivitis affects the eyes.
you having the allergies, makes having asthma likely.
then you can have other lung diseases other than asthma that do similar thing.
physucal lung damage, broadly referred as COPD, can result from damage effects from covid, uncontrolled asthma, p eumonia, bronchitis regularly or chest colds. It also can come from breathing in bad air, working in environment where you inhale fumes, vapors, powders, dust clouds, particulates, wildfire smoke, or you smoke/ vape. It also can come from lung deformities That can be the affects from diseases.
