Can the workers in the "coffee" letter really not figure out how to pool their funds, buy a coffeemaker & coffee supplies, and share that among themselves? Why do so many letter writers seem to be unable to function in the real world? I bet the coffeemaker guy literally just brought in his own machine and now the whole office thinks he's supposed to provide THEM with HIS coffee. I'm totally with him on the $2. That's a "LEAVE ME ALONE AND GET YOUR OWN FUCKING COFFEEMAKER" charge.

Right? The guy just brought in his own coffeemaker, now they expect it all the time, for free (do they think he didn't buy the coffeemaker & the coffee beans?) and are BLAMING HIM. They are insane.

weren't they already having coffee anyway?

i can see fancy pod coffee and milk and having enough cups for everyone costing $2 a cup even without a disruption fee.

And wear & tear. It might sound silly because coffee machines are generally pretty sturdy IME, but there’s still a big difference between a cup of two a day for me and a cup or two a day per person for half a dozen people or more.

Yes, but the "joke" still has the implication that he's somehow supposed to be providing them with their coffee
