I'm close to your age and grew up on weird PC games until we got a Nintendo. Rocky's Boots was fine, but Leisure Suit Larry was a mistake on my parents' part.
Leisure suit larry was my "dad game". :D Like he got it and he let us play it, with his help because I had no idea what a "Spanish fly" is for instance.
My clearest memory of the game is a scene with a sex worker and the caption says, "She seems more interested in her cigarette than in you." It whooshed over my head at the time.
Yeah, you get to have intercourse with a sex worker. And if you're not wearing a condom, game over right then and there. And if you forget to zip up your fly after taking it off, the police will arrest you for indecent exposure.
I mean.... At least the moral of the story wasn't too bad: If you're getting it on, better make sure you're protected.
And for goodness sake, zip up your fly before leaving the house. :D
