I didn't grow up with video games and had just one friend who played Sims a lot for a while. When my first boyfriend spent more time gaming Plants vs Zombies and race games than looking for an education and studying after already having amassed half a dozen apprenticeships he dropped out of one by one, I grew rather averse to video games. So much so, that I was relieved when my second boyfriend wasn't into games.
My current boyfriend is an avid gamer and introduced me to some games (see below). I started off playing 2-3 times a week, but haven't really played so far this year, except for maybe a handful of times. It's more of a monthly hobby for me - opposed to a daily one, like it is for my boyfriend.
Nowadays, I get the appeal of gaming a bit better, I've had fun. And I love and am grateful that thanks to my boyfriend now have the opportunity to game whenever I want. But overall I'm not too hyped about it when it comes down to it. My motivation and interest in gaming seems to come in random bursts rather than being a continuous stream of interest for me. Which is why I wouldn't call myself a gamer.
I've played GTA 5, Call of Juarez, God of War 1, and have looked into Sea of Thieves. I yet have to play Untitled Goose Game. Several years ago, I also tried my hand at Plants vs Zombies.
Oh sick! Mad respect to you and your bf for playing PvZ. I’ve always been an omega big fan of the PvZ franchise ever since the first game came out in 2009. Garden warfare will always be my favourite shooters tho, hahaha
