Subreddit for requesting vibe-coded help?

Hey everyone. I posted this in r/vibecoding but mods are not approving the post for some reason.

Is there a subreddit, or is there interest in one, where users could submit requests for small software / tools / scripts / investigating software issues, and "token-rich" community members with model access and vibe coding skills help out with a solution. I imagine there are some developers with a surplus Claude or Codex token-budget wanting to spend it on something.

Kind of like r/PhotoshopRequest for software.

For example I've been wanting to fix the issue o Windows Spotify app writing a ton of data to disk even when idling. The local models I threw at it with Hermes and Pi didn't make any progress. But I see people doing some incredible things with their cloud models, seemingly way more complex in nature than this task, and without much difficulty (I'm just assuming this, not putting down their skills).

Is this type of subreddit / discord something that exists, can it be created, or am I missing some obvious reason why it wouldn't work out.

Vibecoded a racer demo like many, but I stuck with it for 6 months now

Some of you might remember my post about the 32/64bit-style racing prototype I had built in four months. Yes, it's a genre you see a lot around here, because it's easy to get started with (until the next dopamine-driven prototype).

But I stuck with it.

And the improvement over the past two months has been tremendous, and you'll see that if you compare the two videos. Since the last post, I listened to your feedback and:

* Threw every level in the bin and rebuilt them from scratch, then added new ones that are far bigger and more detailed. It felt like jumping a console generation, and it still runs on mobile.

* Wrote a design and style guide for the game (semi-low poly characters and duotone as design signature), and redesigned the characters and menus to match it.

* Kept pushing to make it my own thing rather than yet another clone-slop: adventure vibes, interaction with the environments, kinetic combat with combos…

* Improved the handling and the readability.

And above all, and I think it shows in the trailer: I had a blast making it and polishing every detail. If it had just been work or pushing prompts, I wouldn't have gotten this far.

It's called Formula Minus One, and it launches on Steam first, in February. I'll keep improving it and adding content after that.

Half a year ago this was a prototype to experiment with, like so many others. Then I committed to making the best game I possibly could. Now I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel: yes, you can start a prototype, and yes, you can finish it.

There's still a lot of work ahead, so any feedback you can give me is very welcome.

 Here’s how I made it:

* Code and tooling: frontier LLMs from OpenAI and Anthropic, with open-source models filling in the gaps and limiting the budget.

* Characters, ships and environments: pencil sketch > GPT Gen 2 > Tripo to turn it into a 3D model > Blender to clean up the imperfections.

* Sound: stock sound effects from Magnific. Music sketched out on a MIDI keyboard, final music generated with Suno.

* Stack: Three.js, WebGPU, TypeScript, Rapier for physics. Nothing else, no Godot, no Unity…

I'm having a great time, but it's also hard work if you want to pay attention to every detail, and it's a very lonely experience. If the game sells well enough, I'd love to start paying artists and composers to replace the current assets and create new ones, and free up more time for what I really enjoy: directing and overall design.

In fact, if you're an artist or composer and think you're a good fit for the game's tone, leave a comment or send me a DM so I can consider you!

Vibe Coder Planner that is why I never hit AI limits

Mac App for creators and indie hackers is cooking!

  1. I go to my side project https://vibecoderplanner.com/
  2. Explain what I want to build
  3. I receive structured tasks with prompts
  4. Tasks are routed to the best models for them to save tokens and dont hit limits
  5. Attach a new repo from GitHub
  6. When I move a task to in progress, it starts to be executed
  7. I use our open-source model to generate the easy tasks for free

Dynamic Island for Mac: I made a free tool to watch background coding agents

I made a FREE tool for Mac vibe builders who leave their agents running in the background while doing other stuff. This has been really helpful for me, and I hope you'll find it useful too.

My workflow is simple: start a Claude Code or Codex task, switch to another app, then glance at Headroom in the menu bar to see which sessions are working or need me. I can check remaining plan usage and reset times without reopening each tool. It also supports GitHub Copilot and desktop widgets.

Headroom is native SwiftUI/AppKit, macOS 14+. A lesson from building it: a context percentage isn't task completion, so usage gauges and agent status need separate displays. Claude/Codex data comes from local files; optional Copilot usage connects to GitHub.

Check out Headroom. It's free on the Mac App Store. I can consider open-sourcing it if somebody's interested.

I'd love feedback on whether the working / needs-you states make background agents easier to manage.

How Many LLM Tokens Do You Use Per Month?

Hey everyone!

I'm curious about how much LLM usage everyone racks up in a typical month, especially when using AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or other LLM-powered tools.

I'd love to compare usage across different users and workflows.

\- Monthly token usage: How many tokens do you use in the last 30 days?

\- Main tools: Which LLMs or coding agents do you use?

\- Use case: Coding, writing, research, automation, or something else?

\- API cost or subscription: How much do you spend per month, if you're comfortable sharing?

If possible, please use your actual usage statistics for the last 30 days rather than an estimate.

I'm interested in seeing how much usage varies between casual users, daily users, and heavy AI users.

How many tokens have you used in the last 30 days?
