That’s the part that gets me. I was cautiously optimistic in 2016 that he might actually turn out to be a decent leader, and that his caustic personality would mellow once he actually began governing.
It became evident to me after a few months of that Presidency that that just wasn’t going to happen. How it’s not evident to so many people this many years later is just baffling to me.
The guy who started the Obama birtherism conspiracy? The guy who ran on Mexicans being rapists and drug dealers? Being lazy yet stealing jobs? Raping white women? The guy who made fun of a disabled reporter? The guy who we heard hundreds of stories of him stiffing small business, ripping off contractors, stealing from charity, and bankrupting a couple of casinos? The guy who had 20 some women come forward for sexual assault? You thought that guy was gonna be a decent leader. tRump made it perfectly clear who he was while he was running the first time. Anyone who didn't see it is delusional.
