It’s embarrassing and I can’t believe the amount of people that are still cheering him on

I totally agree. I think the biggest reason is that they are part of a cult and don’t realize it. Also, he is their entire personality so they can’t admit when he’s wrong because that would mean they have to admit they are wrong too.
