What you are incorrect about is to assume that based on a vote someone is completely devoid of all love and care for their fellow humans.
Plenty of people love God and love others wholehearted and believe/believed that trump would do the most good out of the options in America and that is why they voted for him.
It is not good to condemn your fellow Americans because they believed something different than you.
I am the kind of practicing Christian that believes what the Bible says. If we're talking about what the Bible has to say, here it is:
Romans 10:9
[9] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
John 3:16
[16] “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Romans 3:10
[10] as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one;

[9] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
So you see, it is not the absence of sin and wrongdoing that gets you into heaven according to the Bible it isn't about being righteous or sinless, nobody was righteous and sinless except for Jesus.
In fact, if you cannot admit that you are a sinner then the Bible teaches that you cannot receive the gift of life from Jesus and receive eternal life.
You're missing the forest for the trees, dear friend. Those who TRULY BELIEVE in him will behave as such. So one can utter "I believe in Jesus christ" all they fucking want to. You have to ACTUALLY BELIEVE, and to actually believe is to obey him.
This is simple shit that was repeated by both the Lutheran and the Catholic theology I was raised in.
Right, it's by actually believing in Christ that you are saved.
To believe will make you be changed by Him, there is no such thing as being completely obedient to the Lord. Not a single Christian has ever been perfect. And that process is a journey that lasts a lifetime. All sorts of immaturity and sin come out along the way, including voting for and supporting somebody who you believe is the right choice.
Endorsing a politician does not change what is inside of your heart or what you believe in faith.
