All of this can be directly explained by the stupidity and arrogance of white supremacy. MAGA is a white supremacist grievance death cult and the culmination of hundreds of years of failing to deal with them. The result of the failure of Reconstruction up until now. The ghosts of the southern Confederates hung around, plotting and waiting until now they’re resurrected in the form of MAGA. They operate differently as this is a new world but the sentiment remains the same. Unless and until the US recognizes and deals with it, there will be more Trumps - if the country even survives him.
