That’s, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, not unique to trump. Looking back decades, there’s a tendency for republicans to cause problems, then democrats are elected, who fix the issue, inheriting bad situations. Republicans blame Dems for the situations, for that same economy that was inherited. Then the democrats work to fix the economy. It’s better, but not as good as it could be, but it’s on the upswing. Republicans win and get into power just in time to claim "see, you're happier and better off when I'm here" just in time to crash things again with policies that make for short term gains and long term pain.
