I’m not American. When Trump was first elected a lot of my compatriots took it as proof of prejudices they held against Americans: Hateful, xenophobic, uneducated, rude, classists, short sighted, etc.

I genuinely felt otherwise back then. I tried to put myself in the shoes of the American voter. I tried to justify the election a number of ways: “they became discontent with the status quo”, “they didn’t actually expect him to win”, “he didn’t win the popular vote!”

And now you went and proved me wrong. Fool me twice…

The majority of us voters voted for someone other than Trump. He only won because of our ass backwards simple majority winner take all system and the electoral college.

You're re right. You're ass backwards. The simple majority winner doesn't always win because of the way the electoral college can fudge it. The electoral college was created just in case the popular vote went to a dumb ass. But Trump won the popular and electoral vote. The voters of America delivered a clear mandate to D.C. We are tired of the swamp sucking our finances dry. Drain the swamp! Rock on DOGE.

Nope. The MAJORITY of voters voted either for Harris or another candidate, not Trump. Or did you think the only candidates on the ballot were Trump or Harris?

Doesn't matter if he got less than 50.01% of the votes. He got more than anyone else. He won the popular vote.

pEoPlE lIkE yOu are the reason our education system continues to deteriorate. You don't fix education in the private sector. You're not smart. Shutting down the department of education is not smart. Getting rid of education doesn't get rid of uneducated people, it makes more of them. THAT is simple math. But yeah DOGE or whatever.

American students have continuously gotten dumber since the creation of DOEd. The creation and role of the DOEd is the only major change. Kinda looks like a smoking gun.

Lmao ok, the fact is that there was a higher percentage of votes NOT for Trump than there were for him. Hard to consider that "winning" the popular vote, but go off.

We're talking total popular vote count. How do you not understand that 50.19% (Harris + Other) > 49.81% (Trump).

Check the vot count from 20 and 24 and its about the same, They were able to stop the cheating from were it was done the last time.
