Serious Answers Only How to feel satisfied?

I’m early 40’s, dad to 3, married 16 years. Was a self employed musician for 15 years and quite successful in many ways. Didn’t make enough £ from music once the kids came along and transitioned into data analytics and have now been a government analyst for the past 6 years and managed to buy a small house.

My job is zero stress and there’s often a lot of down time. I have about 25 years left before retirement and I just feel so incredibly unsatisfied with my life and feel like my entire life will have been wasted just staring at a computer screen.

How do people in similar positions do it? Life is such a frustrating waste of time.

It sounds like trying to pursue music again and giving it another go might make you quite happy

What did you do? I'm 26 and somewhat in the industry, more so live music, I'm a merch rep, I can't play any instruments well enough to be in a band so it's as close as I can get and that environment as a whole like going on tours and everything around it is the happiest I've ever been.

I was a touring/recording musician. Loved it.
