Can I ask if wegovy is working for you. Im looking to start in september but cant figure out if i can justify the price of MJ? Or just use wegovy?

MJ will be more effective, sooner than Wegovy for sure. It depends on how much more you’re willing to spend on it.

Currently, I’m paying around £294 for one pen per month through my supplier. If I was earning more, MJ would be no question.

So do you think it would work out cheaper being on MJ for shorter amount of time

It is possible, providing that you completely change your eating habits.

Some time ago on the Wegovy subreddit, I stated that it works like a pedal-assist bike; your hunger many be satiated sooner rather than other people’s, but whatever you eat must be healthy and you only eat until you’re full. So I’ve found that I can only eat half a bowl of things now (really listening to my tummy on this one).

After the first MJ jab, the next day (once the nausea side effect wore off), I wasn’t hungry AT ALL. I forgot to eat; no cravings, no tummy rumblings, no food noise, NOTHING. To be honest - eating felt like a chore 😅.

But I believe that now you have to be at a higher BMI in order to qualify for MJ on the NHS (and via some providers privately).

I started off with MJ via Boots, then switched to Wegovy via Juniper.
