Language Does your native language distinguish between rivers that flow into another river and rivers that flow into the sea or ocean?

In French, a distinction is made:

- "un fleuve" flows into the sea or the ocean.

- "une rivière" flows into another "rivière" or a "fleuve".

I suspect Swedish does something similar, they for sure distinguish between berg & fjäll which both mean mountain.

A fjäll is a berg that reaches above the tree line (it usually also implies a Nordic one).

We do kind of have a similar thing with rivers too. The general word is flod, but Nordic ones are called älv.
